Welcome to the LifeSciHub Community! We are very glad you’re here! Hopefully LifeSciHub will be able to find good projects for you, or help you in some other way, such opening up passive revenue streams for you via the Connector Model, or providing fractional business administration services (LifeSciHub: The Secretary You Wish You Had But Don’t Want to Hire, Train or Manage!).
In the meantime you might have questions on what your www.LifeSciHub.com user name and password means. This is a quick tour to explain the features and functionality.
LifeSciHub.com was originally designed to be a self-service place for sponsors and independent experts to find each other but we discovered early on that drug sponsor hiring entities strongly prefer a human in the loop when it comes to all things outsourcing and consulting. Subsequently, non of the “find and engage” type features we built are being utilized.
Use of LifeSciHub.com comes into play when an actual project gets underway. Upon logging in you will be brought to the “Show Me the Money” page: My Connectors and Payments. This is your permanent record for any money flowing through LifeSciHub to you. Highlights:
- There are 3 types of payments LifeSciHub makes to members:
- Billable Hour payments- If you get a project through LifeSciHub this is where all your payments and hours will be reported.
- Supply Connector: Any expert microvendor you recommend to LifeSciHub is listed here, and any project they get via LifeSciHub, you get paid as the “Supply Connector”, listed here
- Demand Connector: A potentially high grossing revenue stream. Your drug sponsor client needs expertise you can’t provide. If they find that expertise via LifeSciHub, because you introduced us, you get a Demand Connector payment for every project. For more information on LifeSciHub as a “monetized network”, click here
- Unlike any other contracting third party (that we’re aware of), LifeSciHub provides ALL payment information with total transparency- your pay, obviously, but also what fees LifeSciHub collected on the project your worked on. All Connector payments are provided as well.
- All data listed here is downloadable as a CSV for your records and accounting purposes.
- Sorting by project, you can quickly see the original project budget, expected hours, what’s remaining in each, and expected end date.

My Timesheets: This is where you log your hours for any project via LifeSciHub. As a member of LifeSciHub, you are welcome to use this feature for your own, non-LifeSciHub projects. Many microvendors utilize paid time trackers such as Quickbooks TSheets or Harvest, which are great, but LifeSciHub time tracking is free! All timetracking data is downloadable via csv, so you can use it to create your own invoices. If interested in this feature, please email sheila@lifescihub.com
NPS Scores: LifeSciHub does not manage projects or perform oversight, however we do have a light touch governance tool designed to keep independent consulting projects in green status- the LifeSciHub Net Performance Score. A quick 2 question survey, the NPS goes to both the hiring entity and the microvendor, monthly. Each sees the other’s answers, so if one party thinks the scope is perfectly green but the other indicates amber or maybe even red, this is a gentle way for the issue to be raised and discussed. This too is a tool any member can use for free with you independent practice.
Documents: Many Microvendors learn that rather than collecting virtual dust, administrative documents are living, breathing things that have to be referred to, sometimes often. Having them all in one handy place is extremely useful.
Profile: This is where LifeSciHub keeps your CV and a brief list of skills. When a Hiring Entity asks for a certain expertise, this is where LifeSciHub looks for potential Microvendors. Your information is only visible to the LifeSciHub admin, unless your change your visibility. If you want to see other expert profiles you need to turn your visibility on. Your profile will then be visible to other LifeSciHub members, who themselves are visible. Just keep in mind many members are not visible since the default is non visible and most don’t change the visibility, so there are many more members than what might show up there. You can also update your password, CV and any other profile information here.
Info page: a lot of resources here, such as our current and past projects, a “going gig” section with lots of great info for independent consultants and so forth.
Any questions, please let us know! LifeSciHub aims to serve and support the drug development Microvendor community!
