Michael currently serves as the Head of Technical Excellence and Innovation at GSK. He has over 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, providing technical and analytical support to programming teams. Prior to joining GSK, Michael worked for a number of CROs and, in a previous life, served on the faculty of Xavier University as an Assistant Professor of Economics.

In his role as Head of TechEx, Michael leads a passionate and progressively thinking team in search of solutions which ease pain points of conventional clinical reporting workflows. This includes opportunities to capitalize on open source solutions built with R or python, discovering ways to leverage metadata to increase quality and efficiency of production flows, and reimagining how we interact with our data through linked data models.

Externally, Michael is the co-lead of a PHUSE working group on multilingual clinical reporting and Chair of the 2023 PHUSE US Connect.

Jesper Zeth is a Principal Statistical Programmer at Novo Nordisk A/S, and holds a MSc in economics from Aalborg University. He has been working with SAS® software for more than 20 years within various industries spanning from Consulting, over Banking, to Healthcare. For the past 5 years he has been applying his SAS® programming in the Pharma industry, and he has a special interest in ways to standardise code and generic programming.
