LifeSciHub, the first online resource marketplace dedicated to the life sciences R&D Independent Workforce, today announced that Bernie Coney, Head of Assay Content Development and Product Labeling for Siemens Healthineers, has joined the company’s Advisory Board.
Bernie brings almost fifteen years of professional experience in Regulatory Affairs and Labeling including roles within top pharmaceutical companies such as Wyeth, Pfizer and Shire. In addition, he has in-depth knowledge of and experience with enabling technologies and tools used by industry to support Regulatory and Clinical content and communication processes.
When asked to comment on why he was drawn to LifeSciHub, Bernie noted, “I have been in the hiring manager role for various life sciences companies, both pharmaceutical companies and technology and services vendors. The industry’s current practices for identifying candidates and leveraging contingent workers are time consuming, resource intensive and outdated. Other industries have added value across this process by using technology in new ways. LifeSciHub is flipping the entire process and providing much needed transparency and marketplace insight. This approach is disruptive to traditional methods and has the potential to directly and positively impact the speed and quality of R&D efforts.”
As a member of the advisory board, Bernie will offer life sciences experience and hiring manager perspectives, to guide LifeSciHub’s innovative approach to the marketplace.
S. Jewels, Cofounder and CEO of LifeSciHub commented, “Bernie is an outstanding addition to the LifeSciHub Advisory Board. Bernie’s expertise spans several critical areas of drug development: product labeling, commercialization, regulatory affairs, clinical content management and informatics. Bernie has amassed an impressive body of work, having come up through Wyeth, Pfizer and engagements on the vendor ecosystem side as well. As we move into LifeSciHub’s beta release and beyond, his perspective, input, industry knowledge and network will be invaluable.”
