Independent consultants are entrepreneurs.  Unlike when we were full time employees, when there was usually a single source of income- the paycheck- the successful solopreneur pursues multiple streams of income.  There has never been a better time, as the tech-enabled sharing economy opens up many revenue stream opportunities.
