Medical Communications Writer Needed for Cardiology Executive Forum Summary- End of June 2023

Medical Communications Writer needed to attend and write the executive summary for an executive meeting of the American Society of Echocardiography  taking place in Washington DC the morning of Tuesday, June 27.  Someone local or within driving distance to both DC and NY- if successful, this engagement will most likely be repeated in March in NY for a much bigger ASE event.  ASE would prefer to be able to use the same writer for both events if possible.   The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical communications and two excellent writing samples.  This executive meeting is being held to address new treatment options in cardiology, specifically HCM (Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy).  The audience consists of thought leaders from ASE membership- cardiologists and sonographers, plus ASE executives.  The Executive Summary will be published in both ASE publications,  Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography (JASE) as well as Echo Magazine

The writing process is expected to be threefold, to be completed in full within 5 weeks of the event:

  1. Prep:  intro to ASE, ASE identification of key talking points (~10) to address
  2. Event:  Attend the event on June 27, including the dinner the night before.  The event itself starts at 8:30, ends at 1:00 PM
  3. Write, Review and Approve.    The post event write-up and approval process will include 2 rounds of review and revision.  A clinical will do the final review and approval. A recording of the event will be available for writer’s reference.
