Governments are getting into the independent consultant game, and as usual, it’s not going *quite* that efficiently.  On Monday March 8, 2021, the US House of Reps is looking at the PRO Act, a union-inspired labor law update that is mostly about strengthening unions.  No problems there, however, oddly, the bill also includes elements of California’s disastrous AB5.  The “ABC test”, among other things, essentially strikes even more fear into the hearts, minds and budgets of businesses, with respect to hiring independent consultants.
