NEW YORK, NY—LifeSciHub, the gig-economy online marketplace for life sciences R&D, announced today that the company established an office in Astoria, New York and have added software designer and developer resources to the team.
The LifeSciHub team is using shared workspace in Astoria New York as the collaboration center for design and development activities. The workspace provides the infrastructure required to support the growing team and the flexibility of on-demand work spaces and meeting spaces.
The new team members will be focused on design and development of the 2nd Prototype for the LifeSciHub platform, which will simulate a few key aspects of the user journey. The prototype will enable the team to solicit user feedback, confirm requirements and design directions, and update product specifications.
Bob De Vivo, LifeSciHub Co-Founder and Sr. Director, Software Engineering commented, “Our team has to execute on the vision of the LifeSciHub platform. By increasing the development and design resources, and bringing them together in a collaborative space, we are ensuring that we will achieve that vision.”
S. Jewels, LifeSciHub Co-Founder, added, “We are taking advantage of the shared economy as we simultaneously introduce it to the life sciences industry. Shared workspaces reduce our overhead costs while enabling the collaboration and networking that is essential for an entrepreneurial team like ours. It is actually fascinating to be a consumer of a sharing economy tech-enabled community, while simultaneously building a different technical expression of the gig economy. In many respects the technical and business problems we are trying to solve are remarkably similar, although completely different markets.”
